Great Oaks

Project Details

The existing backyard landscape of this 1992 home had a number of renovations throughout the years that were deteriorating and not responsive to the architecture of the home. Leka Design was engaged to create a more functional entertainment space with a cohesive design language.  It was also important to the client that the design approach met budgetary  goals while celebrating the views of the remnant oak savanna. Working closely with the client, we developed a thermally modified ash “Infinity” deck that appears to be a self supporting “L”, and existing hardscapes were inventoried, stockpiled and reused in the design.
